Cardi B is really taking all of her momentum from 2017 into the new year. Her latest single ‘Bartier Cardi‘ has received a great response from fans and that’s the reason why it has debuted straight at number 14 on Billboard Hot 100 this week.
But the rapper is making news with another rare feat which puts her in a prestigious category alongside The Beatles. Her previous single ‘Bodak Yellow’ has moved back on the number 10 spot this week from #12, which makes her only the third artist in history to have their first chat entries simultaneously inside the top 10. Her other two songs are ‘No Limit’ with G-Eazy (#4) and ‘Motorsport’ by Migos (#7).
Ashanti was the last artist to have this elite feat. She reached the Hot 100’s top 10 with her first three chart titles simultaneously — ‘Foolish’ and as features on Fat Joe’s ‘What’s Luv?’ and Ja Rule’s ‘Always on Time.’ Cardi B is the first artist since Ashanti and also the first rapper ever to achieve this.
In addition to this, she’s also the first woman to have three songs inside the top 10 at the same time since Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande, who did it on Aug. 30, 2014.
Billboard notes that the only other acts to chart three Hot 100 top 10s simultaneously are: Bee Gees, 50 Cent, Usher, Akon, T-Pain, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne and Justin Bieber.
