Mike Shinoda has been through a lot in music career. He’s best known for co-founding Linkin Park, one of world’s biggest bands to date but he’s also appreciated for his 2005 side project “Fort Minor” where he showed off his rap side to the fullest.
Mike Shinoda’s alter ego Fort Minor made a return to rap music with a new song called ‘Welcome‘, the first release in 10 years, in 2015. But Shinoda went missing from solo work again shortly after. Then tragedy struck last year when his good friend Chester Bennington died by suicide in July. It’s been difficult for both — members of Linkin Park, their families and LP fans worldwide.
Shinoda (read our interview with him from 2015 here) made a surprise announcement yesterday that he will be releasing three songs with music videos and he’s stuck to the promise by coming through with an EP called Post Traumatic. It features three tracks — ‘Place To Start’, ‘Over Again’ and ‘Watching As I Fall’. One listen and you can feel the pain behind vocals. Stream the EP now on Spotify or Apple Music, and watch the very personal looking, self directed music videos below.
