Snoop Dogg Announces Gospel Album ‘Bible of Love’

Last year, Snoop Dogg had announced that he will be entering the Gospel world with an album based on that theme.

“I’m working on a gospel album,” he told Dr. Dre’s Beats 1 show The Pharmacy in May last year. “It’s always been on my heart. I just never got around to it because I always be doing gangsta business or doing this or doing that. I just felt like it’s been on my heart too long. I need to do it now.” The album was inspired by conversations the Gangsta rapper had with Faith Evans.

Snoop has now announced the album is in works indeed and will be titled Bible of Love. It will be his sixteenth studio album. Fans will get a first taste of the project when he performs at the 19th annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration this February. The event will take place at the Benson Great Hall at Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota on Feb. 1.

Snopp will be joined by gospel artist Tye Tribbett, The Clark Sisters, Faith Evans and Rance Allen in introducing the album for the first time to the world. The one-hour TV special will air on BET on Feb. 3 at 11:00 pm ET.
