Diddy Explains His Infamous “Diddy Crop” & “Diddy Shop” Skills on Photos

If you are active on any form of social media, you may have come across some photos that Diddy posts on his accounts where he hilariously throws people out of the frame.

It first came to light last May when Diddy cropped out Kylie and Kendall Jenner out of the picture as he posted it on his Instagram with the caption “black excellence.” The original photo was from 2017 Met Gala and featured other Black celebrities with the Jenner sisters like Wiz Khalifa, Travis Scott, Jaden Smith and Migos. See it below.

Diddy’s skills then came back even bigger when he cropped out Fabolous and photoshopped French Montana out of the original photo which featured Kendrick Lamar, Nas and Jay-Z. Diddy posted the doctored image on his Instagram with the caption “3 Kings” and it became a joke on social media as French Montana was thrown out of the snap with editing skills.

Diddy finally talked about his controversial posts for the first time in an interview with Ellen yesterday. At the 5:50 mark of the chat below, Diddy aka “Brother Love” says that a young person who works on his media team did the editing without informing him. “I take a lot of pictures with a lot of different celebrities ‘cos we’re all just family and stuff. And sometimes my photography editor, he doesn’t let me know when he’s taking people out of the pictures,” Diddy said.

“There were people that were taken away that didn’t deserve to be taken away, I had nothing to do with it. It was just this young kid that works for me, he wanted a picture of Jay-Z, Nas, and Kendrick,” the Bad Boy mogul further explained.
