Gucci Mane Biopic From Paramount Based on His Autobiography is in The Works

A new biopic based on Gucci Mane is on the way.

Variety reports that Paramount Players and Imagine Entertainment have bagged the rights to develop a film based on adaption of Gucci Mane’s book The Autobiography of Gucci Mane from last year. Imagine’s Brian Grazer and Erica Huggins will produce the project while Gucci and Todd Moskowitz will executive produce.

The Autobiography tells the story of Gucci in his own words on how he created nothing to something with his storied Rap career. It captures the journey of him growing up in Atlanta and being such an influential artist in Trap music despite being jailed several times. Gucci wrote most of his memoir in federal prison from where he was released in 2016, healthier, happier and away from his drug addictions. We’re looking forward to seeing what they create with the biopic.
