Lil Uzi Vert Starting Foundation in Memory of XXXTentacion

 

Lil Uzi Vert is one of the artists who was a fan of XXXTentacion’s music. Taking to social media, the rapper has revealed that he wants to start a foundation “to make sure his child and family are well taken care.”

After speaking with the slain rapper’s family, the Philly rapper said that he wanted to help. “Been speaking to @xxxtentacion family,” he tweeted. “I want to start a fund/foundation to make sure his child and family are well taken care of not just temporary but for life.” Uzi also encouraged other celebrities to get involved. “I don’t care if you didn’t know him he is part of the hip hop / rock community.” Uzi said that the foundation would help “young entertainers” that unfortunately die from gun violence.

XXX was murdered last Monday in gun violence in Deerfield Beach, Florida. A suspect has already been arrested while two more warrants are out. Over the weekend, XXX’s mother announced that his team set up a foundation on the website xxxtentacion.com to fulfill the rapper’s final wish. Check out the Instagram post below.
