Lloyd released a 4 song EP called Tru in December, 2016 with the title song serving as the lead single. The project, which featured 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne and Rick Ross, was his first independent one. The song achieved good amount of success on the charts.
The EP was supposed to be a prelude to the main album but Lloyd kind of went off the radar again following its release. He’s now back with the announcement that Tru that album finally hits stores August 31st via EMPIRE distribution. The cover art for the album has already created enough chatter on social media but Lloyd is offering new music as well.
The singer has unveiled the first single off the album, ‘Caramel’ which has some Southern elements but still a pure R&B overall feel. This is good. Hear it below.
