Ariana Grande is set to release her new album Sweetener on August 17th featuring guests like Pharrell, Missy Elliott and Nicki Minaj (full tracklist here).
On the tracklist, there is a track called R.E.M., the lyrics to which she had shared just before her Saturday Night Live appearance back in April. Yesterday (July 30), the Pop star confirmed something interesting: the track is a reworked version of an unreleased Beyonce song called ‘Wake Up’.

The Bey track had been living on the internet in the form of a short snippet for a couple of years but today, a long version of over 2 minutes has surfaced. It is rumored to be produced by Pharrell and was supposedly created around 2015. Listen to it below. We’re looking forward to hearing what Ariana does with it.
