Previous story (Nov. 14):

We need some prayers for Jeremih. The hitmaker is suffering from an illness which has prompted some of his close friends to post messages on social media.

Hitmaka was the first one to do it, writing on his Instagram, “I need everyone to pray for my brother @jeremih this message is posted with his mothers blessings.” He did not elaborate further on what he is suffering from but added to his Instagram stories, saying “My dawg changed my life he gone pull thru pray for @jeremih,” Hitmaka said. “We need that energy. Pray for my brother he gone shake back.”

Chance The Rapper also followed shortly after, tweeting about Jeremih not doing well and asking fans to say a prayer for him. “Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now,” the fellow Chicago artist tweeted. “I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him.” Big Sean and Jeremih’s close collaborator & friend, Bongo posted heartfelt messages as well.

Jeremih’s good friend 50 Cent has posted a message on Instagram just a few minutes ago, revealing that he is battling a COVID-related illness and is in the ICU in Chicago. “Pray for my boy @jeremih he’s not doing good this covid shit is real he’s in ICU in Chicago,” 50 said.

We will update this story as we receive new information. For now, Jeremih certainly needs our prayers.
