We were all looking forward to the release of a brand new Drake album to kick off the year. In a trailer for Certified Lover Boy that dropped back in October, the rapper announced that it would be out in January and every New Music Friday of the new year since, fans have waited patiently, refreshing the streaming services to check if it was out.
Unfortunately, Drake takes to Instagram with some disappointing news tonight. He posts on his IG story that his recent time has been dedicated to recovering from a recent injury and that he’s only just regained focus on the album, so it won’t be out this month after all.
At the end, he adds that he looks forward to sharing it with us this year, so who knows how long we’ll have to wait. A Valentines Day release always seemed perfect considering the rollout, but perhaps that’s far too soon. We’ll keep you updated regardless.
