Rising Alabama-born, Atlanta-based rapper Flo Milli had a big 2020 as her breakout mixtape Ho, why is you here? was streamed more than 190 million times on Spotify alone.
She’s looking to carry on the momentum into the new year as she drops her new single today, ‘Roaring 20s’ which you can stream below. In addition to the same, she has also been announced as the latest artist to partner with Spotify for their RADAR series.
Flo Milli’s appointment to the RADAR program will include features in the RADAR playlist, a Spotify Singles recording, promotional support for her upcoming releases, a full suite of out-of-home (including billboards up today in Atlanta and NYC) and on-platform marketing, and social promotion. In addition, it will also include a forthcoming mini-documentary coming later this year.
Says Ned Monahan, Spotify’s Head of Global Hits: “Since the release of ‘Beef FloMix’ on Spotify in 2019, we’ve watched Flo Milli’s exponential growth with excitement. Her magnetism is indisputable, and she’s one of the most exciting new rappers in the game right now. We are beyond thrilled to partner with Flo as our next RADAR artist, and can’t wait to see what’s next.”
Flo Milli says: “I’m grateful that I’m a part of this program and being that I’m putting out a song right now [today’s ‘Roaring 20s’], I think it’s cool to tie that in and it’s a dope way to start off.” You can watch a part of her interview with Spotify’s Head of Urban, Carl Chery, above.
