[Saturday Spotlight] Nise The Nymph + Dopeboi DAVINCI

Welcome back to another edition of our Saturday Spotlight series. Each week we review submissions from all over the globe, picking the best out of the batch to highlight at the end of the week. As the Summer reaches its heat past the windowpane, a soundtrack is required to shake off the dust from the past year of miserable isolation.

Music festivals are back, some bars are open, and millennials need a new and expansive playlist for the long hazy nights. Every week we receive a surplus of submissions that reflect the present, past, and future of rap music.

Whether you’re a singer, a rapper, or a producer, all upcoming artists can submit music to us for Saturday Spotlight on this link. Peep our 2 exciting picks for this week below.

Nise The Nymph

It’s safe to say Louisville, Kentucky is becoming a home for emerging stars. Nise the Nymph is the latest prospect to come from the Midwest, slinging tight-delivered bars that attack your central nervous system in flurries. The rapper-producer glides over a meditative beat fit for a smoke sesh on “Mindful”. She’s skillful and her flow is light with precision. This rap shit comes to her effortlessly, sharing a similar cadence to Kendrick Lamar. Check out her latest single below:

Dopeboi DAVINCI

“Triple Up” is one of those songs where the bass is heavy enough to rattle the innards of your Airpods until the plastic is leaning out of your ear. Dopeboi DAVINCI is about bringing out foreigns like trash bags, women, fights, and obviously, a pocket filled with dead presidents. On his latest single, the Fall River artist borrows inspiration from New York’s Drill cadence aside from Fivio’s ad-libbing in the background. Davinci oozes confidence, taking a confrontational flow delivered in bursts. Check out his track below:
