[Saturday Spotlight] Xxngel Baby + Rosé Da Baby

Welcome back to another edition of Saturday Spotlight. Each week we review submissions from all over the globe, picking the best out of the batch to highlight at the end of the week. If you’re an aspiring rapper, a producer wanting to create a buzz, or a singer looking to expose their talent, Saturday Spotlight is dedicated to discovering the next star. This week, we received over 60 unique submissions, below are the two picks!

Whether it’s your latest single or a new beat you made, all upcoming artists can submit music to us for Saturday Spotlight on this link.

Xxngel Baby

Xxngel Baby doesn’t need any introductions. Her latest single, “Party & Bullshit” tells you everything you need to know about her. She’s wavy off the Buddha, she’ll take your man, and she’s not the one to play with. The Seattle-rapper would fit in with the Foxy Browns and the Lil’ Kims; she’s brash, not afraid to air her thoughts or anyone out. Over the party-808s and rhythmic bass change-ups, Xxngel slices through with braggadocio bars that permeate with confidence. Check the track out below:

Rosé Da Baby

Rosé Da Baby’s melodies are tied to stories of pain and hardship. On his latest single, “Dangerous,” the Louisville-born rapper-singer highlights the regularities of the street life. Surrounded by scammers and robbers, groupies looking for more than a one-night stand, and paranoia that keeps him up at night. You can hear the tiredness in his voice; the constant bottling of emotions to maintain his strength. Rosé is lyrically descriptive, with vocals that immerse you into his world.
