[Saturday Spotlight] Sadge Du’Pre + BabyDior

Welcome back to another edition of Saturday Spotlight. Each week we review submissions from all over the globe, picking the best out of the batch to highlight at the end of the week. If you’re an aspiring rapper, a producer wanting to create a buzz, or a singer looking to expose their talent, the Saturday Spotlight series is dedicated to discovering the next star.

Whether it’s your latest single or a new beat you made, all upcoming artists can submit music to us for Saturday Spotlight on this link.

This week’s selections were delayed due to holidays.

Sadge Du’Pre

Sadge Dupree’s “One More” is the moments before the sound of a bullet escapes the barrel. Sadge is filled with reflection curtesy of the Hennessy in her cup. She’s haunted by broken trust with paranoia engulfing in her verses. Her vocals are somber, lightly layered as she falls into the acceptance, “this is how it goes”. The outcome of the next few moments following the last sip of her drink is unknown, but Sadge is prepared for anything. Check out her single below:

BabyDior

South Memphis is known for the use of nefarious piano melodies, heavy thumping bass, and lyrics revolving around the street dealings in the city. BabyDior is a product of the influences from the late Young Dolph, Key Glock, and Black Youngsta—major players within the city. BabyDior sports a youthful chip on his shoulder; gleaming confidence that he wields like a machete in his verses. On his latest single, “Comin Out the YO,” BabyDior issues warnings to his enemies, threatening his gun is “itching for a body”. Check out the single below:
