The Game Pushes Back ‘DRILLMATIC’ Album Release Date

The Game is known for pushing back the release dates of his albums at least a couple of times before the product becomes available to fans.

He is following the old trend with his new album DRILLMATIC – Mind vs. Heart as well. The rapper isn’t happy that Rollingstone left out his classic debut The Documentary from the list of 200 best hip hop albums of all time list and rightfully so.

While tweeting his frustration at the publication, he said, “how is “The Documentary” not on the list for 200 Greatest Rap Albums Of All Time ? I carried an entire coast for 20 years on the back of my 1st album. Cause I don’t walk red carpets, play dress up, smile or fake laugh at brunches I don’t count ?”

He then followed up with the revelation that his new album Drillmatic will release on July 1st. “#Drillmatic July 1st,” he said. He had previously announced June 17 as the release date for the album which is executive produced by Hit-Boy.

Last week, the Compton rapper confirmed that Drillmatic will feature 30 songs, split into two parts: “Mind” and “Heart.”
