The Weeknd Joins Suzanna Son on New ‘The Idol’ Song ‘Family’: Listen

 

The Weeknd keeps the new music rolling from his latest TV series The Idol.

The singer and actor had previously planned on releasing a full soundtrack for the HBO series but he later decided that putting out songs with each episode might be more impactful. Following episode 2 tonight (June 11), Abel has unveiled a 3 pack on streaming services which includes a new song called ‘Family’.

The track is a duet with series star Suzanna Son who plays the character of Chloe, and is themed around mood of the episode. Listen to it below and in case you missed it, check out the last release the series from Abel, ‘The Lure’ here.

The Idol centers on Jocelyn, a rising pop sensation who is ready to become famous over the world and receives one more push from Tedros (The Weeknd), the head of a contemporary cult. The two get into a poisonous relationship that sends them both on a risky and life-changing adventure since they both have a passion of music, fame, and notoriety. Dan Levy, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Troye Sivan, Jane Adams, Moses Sumney, Eli Roth, Hari Nef, Hank Azaria, Mike Dean, Tyson Ritter, and more well-known actors also appear in the series.
