UPDATE: 21 has confirmed that his third solo album American Dream is out this Friday.

21 Savage and Donald Glover surprised fans by announcing American Dream: The 21 Savage Story yesterday (Jan. 7th) but it was confusing what exactly we should expect out of it.
Turns out, it was a promotional image featuring himself, Donald Glover, and Stranger Things star Caleb McLaughlin — the latter two playing Savage at different points in his life. Today, things are more even clearer as a trailer for the film has been released along with the release date.
American Dream: The 21 Savage Story will release on 4th of July in theaters and is directed by Stephen Glover, Jamal Olori, Fam Udeorji, and Luis Perez.
The music inspired by the film, which is expected to feature plenty of new music from 21, will release on Jan. 12th. The trailer also features a new track performed by the Atlanta rapper.
