Waka Flocka Flame was in Houston recently for his Club paradise tour stop and linked up with Bun B for the video shoot of ‘Candy Paint & Gold Teeth’ which also features Ludacris. The track appears on Triple F Life dropping on June 12th. Spotted at DGB.

DJ Drama and 50 Cent had a busy last week as they finalized the The Lost Tape songs & artwork, appeared on a few radio stations and did a couple of interviews in promotion of the new project. Here goes the artwork for 50 Cent’s first Gangsta Grillz mixtape with DJ Drama which is dropping on the 22nd. 50 and Drama will premiere a few tracks on Funkmaster Flex’s show tonight on Hot 97. We really like this.

At the Atlanta stop of his Club Paradise tour, Drake brought out special guest T.I. to perform ‘Riot (Remix)’ with 2 Chainz and past hit ‘What You Know’. After the show, at the after party at Velvet room, Drizzy and Meek Mill performed ‘Amen’ for the party goers.
Lupe debuted his new single ‘Around My Way (Freedom Ain’t Free)’ earlier today which samples Pete Rock & CL Smooth’s ‘T.R.O.Y.‘. But Pete Rock has taken offense to the use of the sample, airing Lupe and the producer out on Twitter. Lupe held a conference call today with Atlantic Records which was moderated by DJ Whoo Kid. He discussed the controversial sample (before Pete’s reaction), Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Part I and Part II, subliminal messages in his music, feelings on America and much more.
Lupe also revealed that Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Part I will have guests doing only hooks and the Part II of the album will release a little later. The tentative release date for the first is September 26th.
On the Pete Rock sample in “Freedom Ain’t Free”:
“All the credit goes to my partner and manager Chill, he just felt like it was time to bring back a joint… Go back and take one of the iconic records of Hip Hop and put a new spin on it and put it back out there. I spit on it a couple times before, some mixtape stuff back in the day, Chill felt it needed a bigger look than that.”
