Eminem’s Childhood Home Demolished By State Of Michigan

These are some bizarre series of events. Eminem’s childhood home in Detroit has been in the news because it was famously featured on the front cover of his latest album Marshall Mathers LP 2. The two-story bungalow at 19946 Dresden, near East State Fair and Hoover in Detroit was damaged by fire earlier this month but further loss was avoided as the fire crew was able to reach the place in time.

But this past Wednesday, a crew took the whole house down following Michigan Land Bank’s statement that the home was “structurally unsafe” after the damage due to fire. The Michigan Land Bank is a state agency and had the ownership of the property.

You can watch a video of the demolishment taking place after the jump.
