Petey Pablo Released From Prison

Petey Pablo has been released from prison after serving a 35 month sentence stemming from his 2010 gun charge. The North Carolina MC was arrested on September 11, 2010 when security at Raleigh-Durham International Airport found a Smith & Wesson 639 in his carry-on luggage.

Petey was freed on Thursday morning and already plans to make a big comeback with the help from his longtime collaborator Timbaland. He issues this statement to MTV:

“I’m now headed to the work shop, to begin what will be noted as my best work ever with one of the greatest producers of all time. My Brother, my friend, my partner for life: mega producer Timbaland, the King!”

Petey’s last released recording was ‘Redbone‘ with Timbaland and Sebastian.
