Pharrell vs. Rick Ross marks the second big sales battle this year after ScHoolboy Q and Kid Cudi fought it out last week.

Rick Ross may have failed to manage a hit single this time around but his heavily promoted new album Mastermind is still on course to sell 145-160k in the first week, according to HDD. That should be good enough for him to land at #1 on Billboard 200 next week.

Pharrell on the other hand, gave fans only a two weeks notice before releasing his sophomore album G I R L, which marked his first album since 2006’s In My Mind. The LP which features zero rap and is led by the huge single ‘Happy’ is projected to sell 85-90k in its first 7 days.

Ashanti’s 5th album Braveheart will be moving between 18-21k.
