A tweet wasn’t enough for J. Cole to express his emotion over the killing of Ferguson, MO teen Michael Brown by a Police officer which has led to protests all over the country. He records and releases a new song ‘Be Free’ dedicated to Mike Brown with the following message:
“Rest in Peace to Michael Brown and to every young black man murdered in America, whether by the hands of white or black. I pray that one day the world will be filled with peace and rid of injustice. Only then will we all Be Free.”
UPDATE: Due to request from Michael Brown’s family to everyone not to use the graphic image, Cole’s team has now switched the song’s artwork to the one posted below.
