Timbaland has been expanding his business ventures within the music field lately. His latest venture is a collaboration with Microsoft and Lenovo titled “Team Up With Timbaland Song Contest” where upcoming artists can win a chance to record with the super producer.

The entry isn’t difficult. Starting August 18 (till September 28), upcoming solo artists can enter the contest by uploading their original song in the form of YouTube or Soundcloud link to Lenovo’s site (Lenovo.com/teamup). From August 27 to September 28, fans can share and vote for their favorite entries. By voting daily until October 22, fans will also have a chance to win sweepstakes like Lenovo products and other tech gear.
Timbo and his team will then pick the 5 finalists based on creativity, originality and recording appeal which will be announced on October 13. They will then be given a 2-week surprise challenge by Timbo and whoever impresses him the most will win a day in the recording studio with him in Miami. The winner will be announced on November 6.
