Bad timing for Jeezy. With his Seen It All album just a week away from release, the trapper has found some legal trouble in California.
Law enforcement sources have confirmed with TMZ that Jeezy is currently behind bars pending investigation after they found an assault rifle on his tour bus Sunday at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, California. The search was done following the incident at Wiz and Jeezy’s concert the previous night in Mountain View where a man was fatally shot and killed.
Jeezy is currently being held on a $1,000,000 bail.
UPDATE: MTV has confirmed that Jeezy has posted bail and is expected to come out soon.
UPDATE 2: The charges have been dropped. Jeezy has made a statement saying that he feels “vindicated”.
“I pray this had nothing to do with race but it definitely had nothing to do with evidence. Words cannot express how vindicated I feel with these charges being dismissed today,” states Jay Jenkins (aka Jeezy). “While my team and I always knew that the allegations and charges were based on zero facts, the rush to judgment by both the media and the police has been extremely disappointing. I’m relieved that the truth has ultimately prevailed and I would like to thank those who have always stood by me including my family and fans.”
