At least he’s not headed back to jail.
Today, a Philadelphia judge sentenced Meek Mill, whose legal name is Robert Rihmeek Williams, to house arrest for a minimum of 90 days which will start on March 1. This was the rapper’s 4th violation in last 8 years where he was found guilty of traveling without adhering to the guidelines stipulated in the terms of his probation.
Philly.com reports that the judge ordered that he must wear an ankle monitoring bracelet and is prohibited from recording, releasing music, or performing during the 90 days time period. Meek apologized for “embarrassing” the court and his probation officer and told the court that he was planing to “get more life coaching” as “everything is riding on the line.”
His legal struggles began in 2008, when he was convicted of a gun charge and subsequently served eight months jail time. As a result of that conviction, Mill was ordered to five years probation. Among other people, Nicki Minaj was also present in the court to support her boyfriend.
