Andre 3000 was one of the guests at Phife Dawg’s memorial event at The Apollo Theater in New York on Tuesday (April 5) which was attended by top music executives, artists, journalists and Phife’s family.

3 Stacks took the stage and spoke on how Phife and A Tribe Called Quest influenced Outkast. He also revealed to the audience (at 1:30 mark) that about a year or two ago, the two groups had talked about doing a collaborative album together which didn’t go forward for “whatever reason.”
