The tributes for the Purple One keep pouring in.
After Usher did one at Coachella this past weekend, another R&B singer who was a huge fan of the icon, paid homage tonight on live TV. D’Angelo has been very vocal about Prince’s influence on him from the start of the career. He mentioned in several interviews that he always wanted to write, produce and perform all his records himself like Prince did. D famously covered Prince’s ‘She’s Always in My Hair’ song for the Scream 2 soundtrack back in 1997.
He took the stage on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon tonight to perform a heartfelt tribute to the late great with ‘Sometimes It Snows In April’. This is amazing.
