Eminem is taking his love for sneakers to the next level by partnering and investing with Detroit based sneaker company StockX.
StockX is a stock market of things where users can find high-demand, limited edition products such as sneakers. The company says it wants to chance the ecommerce industry by “offering a stock market ticker with real-time price tracking so you know exactly what an item is actually worth in today’s market. This includes a portfolio section where you can add every rare, limited, or expensive item you’ve invested in. This portfolio provides you with exactly how much your entire collection is worth with hard data backing up the numbers along with charts and graphs to help you visualize where these investments are going.”
Just as you can invest in stocks and real estate, StockX allows you the ability to invest in limited-edition items while actually being able to prove the worth of your portfolio through real-time data.
Says Eminem: “Sneakers have always been a huge interest of mine, for at least as long as I’ve been rapping, and I’m proud of the fact that I’ve had so many collaborations with Nike and Jordan Brand. I really like the fact that sneakers are a big part of what StockX is doing. When I found out that they happen to be doing it from downtown Detroit, it made even more sense to get involved.”
“We believe in the power of StockX to change the way people buy and sell things online and look forward to helping Josh Luber and the StockX team make that future a reality,” said Paul Rosenberg.
To kick off the partnership, StockX is giving away three coveted prize packages:
· Grand Prize: Air Jordan 4 Retro Eminem Carhartt (priceless; pairs have sold for as much as $30,000)
