Listen To Prince’s First Posthumous Single ‘Moonbeam Levels’

 

The first posthumous song since Prince’s passing back in April is here. The song, ‘Moonbeam Levels’ was recorded back in 1982 during the 1999 album sessions and later considered for the Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic album.

The song has been bootlegged before but this is the first time Prince fans will be hearing it in its full glory. ABC News got the exclusive to play it live from New York’s Cutting Room studios. Prince was making some of his best music in that era and this song clearly proves that.

The midtempo R&B ballad ‘Moonbeam Levels’ is the only unreleased song from vaults on the new Prince collection called Prince 4Ever, which is out today via NPG/Warner Bros. Records. It features 40 of Prince’s hits from his extensive discography (full tracklisting here). Listen to the new song in the video below.
