Drake Officially Announced as Host of 2017 NBA Awards Show

 

ESPN on TNT has formerly announced Drake as the official host of the first ever NBA awards show.

The rapper has previously revealed that he will he hosting and producing the show, during Kentucky head coach John Calipari’s Cal Cast podcast back in January. NBA has today, revealed details surrounding the June 26 event, which will air on TNT at 9 pm ET.

The Most Valuable Player, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Sixth Man Award, Most Improved Player and Coach of the Year will be presented at the show. There are additional honors which will be decided by fan voting and revealed Thursday night on TNT’s Inside the NBA. There are set to be some musical performances as well and we will be hoping that Drake is one of the artists taking the stage.

Drake is no stranger to hosting sports award shows. He did the duties for the 2014 ESPYs and absolutely stole the show.
