The upcoming soundtrack to the movie True To The Game is about to massive. The novel turned feature film is set to hit theaters September 8 with the soundtrack going on sale on the same day.
True To The Game follows the love story of a millionaire drug dealer, Quadir (Columbus Short) and Gena (Erica Peeples) a young woman from Philly trying to pursue her dreams. Their journey of love and movement towards positivity eventually comes to an end while navigating through the drug game. The movie will star Columbus Short, Vivica A. Fox, Draya Michele, Andra Fuller, newcomer Erica Peeples and the late Nelsan Ellis. The film was adapted from a book by the same name by best-selling author and self-publishing pioneer Teri Woods.
Cardi B, Meek Mill, Migos, 21 Savage, Nipsey Hussle, Lil Uzi Vert, Jeremih, Keyshia Cole, K. Michelle and more will create original music for the soundtrack. The soundtrack’s lead single ‘Team Rich’ features Meek Mill while the title track ‘True to the Game’ is created by 21 Savage.
