If you recall, Cardi B and Kodak Black have a unique relationship. When Cardi B originally released her song ‘Bodak Yellow’ earlier this year, many pointed the similarities between the instrumental to that on Kodak Black’s ‘No Flockin‘ song. It was the breakout hit that led to the Florida rapper’s signing with Atlantic Records.
So obviously, a remix to ‘Bodak Yellow’ featuring Kodak Black made perfect sense. After teasing the remix over the past couple of weeks, Cardi has finally released the officially remix and it’s exactly what we expected. “Cardi B got the beat, told me re-rock the heat Try me, I’ll do the race like I’m Tay-K, There ain’t no flockin over here, lil buddy,” raps Kodak Black on the song.
Stream the official ‘Bodak Yellow’ remix below. The original song maintained its number 2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week but there are good chances it will elevate to the top spot next week by dethroning Taylor Swift. Let’s see what happens.
