The Weeknd released his latest album Starboy in November last year but he isn’t backing out from still pushing it. After multiple successful singles from the album (‘Starboy’, ‘Party Monster’, ‘Reminder’, ‘I Feel It Coming’), the Canadian artist has now decided that ‘Die For You’ will be the next official release on radio.
The song has already received some airplay on Urban and Urban AC radio stations over past few weeks but will be officially sent for airplay by Republic Records on Tuesday, September 19th. The song was produced by The Weeknd himself along with Cirkut, Cashmere Cat and Prince 85.
‘Die For You’ hit the number 43 spot on Billboard Hot 100 in the week of the album’s release but perhaps will now be able to break that position with the song’s increased promotions. Will Abel go for a music video as well? Only time will tell. Last week, The Weeknd released a new song ‘Down Low’, a cover of R.Kelly’s classic via OVO Sound Radio.
