Nas’ debut album Illamtic may not be his most successful but it’s universally regarded as a classic one by fans all over.
The legendary rapper recently teamed up with the National Symphony Orchestra to stage a symphonic rendition of Illmatic at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. Titled “Nas Live From the Kennedy Center: Classical Hip-Hop,” the rare performance was caught on camera and made into a concert film by director Jason Goldwatch. It is executive produced by Nas, Anthony Saleh and Peter Bittenbender for Mass Appeal Records.
The concert film is now available to watch courtesy PBS. Check it out below. Go here in case the player doesn’t work for you.
