UPDATE: The final numbers are in. Travis sits comfortably at #1 on the charts but Mac Miller and YG come in high too, respectively. Mac Miller’s Swimming debuts at #4 with 56,899 copies of sold and 20,105 being pure sales.
YG’s Stay Dangerous comes very close behind at #5 with 55,542 copies sold plus streaming and 9,882 of those as pure sales.

Three major Rap albums were released on August 3rd — Travis Scott’s Astroworld, Mac Miller’s Swimming and YG’s Stay Dangerous. Travis’ album is doing great numbers — it is set to move in excess of 450k copies in the first week.
But how are the other releases set up? According to HDD, YG’s project in on course to move 52-57k copies with 7-8k out of that coming from pure sales. This is an upgrade from the first week performance of his last album Still Brazy which moved 38k copies only. Stay Dangerous is led by the hit single ‘Big Bank‘ feat. Big Sean, Nicki Minaj and 2 Chainz.
Mac Miller on the other hand, is projected to move 44-48k in the first week with 10-12k of that attributed to pure sales. For comparison, his last LP The Divine Feminine, moved similar amount of units (48k).
