Lil Nas X released his debut EP 7 this past Friday which features his number 1 single ‘Old Town Road’ featuring Billy Ray Cyrus.
Also featured on the project is Cardi B, appearing on the song ‘Rodeo’. So does the young rapper-singer have the power to sustain? The first week sales projections are in and it looks like Nas X will debut at the number 1 spot of the Billboard Hot 100 with 70k units moved in the first week. Just 4-7k out of that is expected to come from pure sales, reports HDD. When he does manage to open at the top spot, it will indeed be a good feat, especially since it’s not even a full length project.
Gucci Mane is the major label artist who put out an album this week. Delusions of Grandeur, which has guest appearances from Justin Bieber, Meek Mill, Wiz Khalifa and more, is projected to 27-30k in the opening week (1-2k pure sales).
