ASAP Rocky’s much publicized assault case in Stockholm, Sweden finally came to an end when the judges pronounced today that the rapper is guilty of assault.
It’s a victory of sorts for the rapper as it has been also held that he will not have to serve anymore jail time in the country. Swedish prosecutors had asked for Rocky to be given a six-month prison sentence for his involvement in the street brawl on June 30 that left a 19-year-old man injured. Rocky maintained throughout that he had acted in self-defense when he threw the man, Mustafa Jafari to the ground and punched him with the help of his entourage.

According to several journalists, the fact that the prosecutors could not prove that a bottle was used in the assault as alleged, ended up being a big factor in the conditional sentence that was announced today. Rocky would have to pay damages to the victim and would not have to return to Sweden to serve more time.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of my fans, friends and anyone across the globe who supported me during these last few weeks,” he had said at the time of release from a Stockholm prison. “I can’t begin to describe how grateful I am for all of you. This has been a very difficult and humbling experience.” He performed his first show over the weekend in Anaheim where he also thanked the Hip-Hop community for sticking with him.
