Cardi B Says She Will Address Her Relationship Drama with Offset on New Album

Cardi B’s return to music with her new single ‘WAP‘ featuring Megan Thee Stallion is being talked about a lot for various reasons. One of them is Kylie Jenner’s cameo in the eye catching music video but Cardi says everything isn’t about race.

“This is not about f*ckin race. Why did I put Kylie on my music video? She treated my sister and daughter so lovely at her kid bday party,” she said in now-deleted tweets.

It’s clear that she has a new album on the way, the much awaited followup to 2018’s Invasion of Privacy but she isn’t sure when it will come out, given the current circumstances. In a new interview with Elle, Cardi has spoke a bit about what we can expect from it.

“My music is always going to make a woman feel like a bad bitch. When you make a woman feel like she’s the baddest bitch in the room, to me, that’s female empowerment,” she said when asked if it will have similar content to Beyonce’s Lemonade. “But this album is going to be really different. Of course, it’s going to have my Lemonade moments, my personal relationship moments.”

The New York rapper added that she’s aware her relationship with Offset is often the subject of scrutiny on social media and instead of defending it online, she is going to address it on her new album, which will have a feature from her husband.

“I do know that my relationship has a lot of drama and everything. But there’s a lot of love there’s a lot of passion, there’s a lot of trust, there’s a big friendship. It’s always us against the world,” she said. “If you all are so curious to know about my relationship and blah, blah, blah, I’m going to put it in the fuckin’ music, and you can buy it, too,” she says. “I’m not going to give it to you all for free.”
