Megan Thee Stallion To Provide Scholarship At The Roc Nation School of Music

Megan Thee Stallion is giving back!

The Houston rapper announced that she will be providing a four-year full tuition scholarship to one lucky student studying at Long Island University’s Roc Nation School of Music, Sports, and Entertainment. Those who are looking to enroll in the program can do so here.

In addition, Meg will also participate in the university’s Industry Expert Speaker Series, where she will be speaking to students in the program as a keynote speaker.

Getting an education is incredibly important to me,” Megan said in a recent press release. “I still have academic goals that I want to achieve, so if I can use my resources to open doors and create opportunities for at least one student, then it’s a victory. It’s important that we encourage our students to pursue their passions and put them in positions to become the next game changer in whichever fields they choose.”

Although Megan is known as a successful rapper, she is also a student at Texas Southern University pursuing a degree in health administration. Once she graduates, she plans to open and manage assisted-living facilities in Houston. The Htown Hottie isn’t the only musician to contribute to the Roc Nation School – producer 9th Wonder recently became a member of the school’s faculty as a visiting professor and artist in residence, teaching courses in hip-hop history and the making of an album.

The Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment offers a wide range of programs including music technology, entrepreneurship and production, vocal performance and more.

Megan is set to release her new single ‘Thot Sh*t‘ this Friday, June 11.
