Kanye has been sued left, right and centre off late, especially since his anti-Semitic remarks did rounds on the Internet. But one lawsuit has been an especially shocking one; the one filed by Lauren Pisciotta.
The woman in question used to work for Kanye and made shocking claims pertaining to sexual assault allegedly perpetrated by Kanye, followed by wrongful termination. The ex-employee has now reached settlement terms (that remain undisclosed to the public) with Kanye.
Pisciotta will now have 45-days to file a dismissal request and withdraw the case. Arick Fudali, Pisciotta’s attorney, has also confirmed the closing of the issue to USA Today saying “the matter has been resolved.” While Kanye’s legal team has not immediately responded to the new developments, Kanye’s publicist has addressed the matter in the past when allegations were first made.
“She was terminated for being unqualified, demanding unreasonable sums of money (including a $4 million annual salary) and numerous documented incidents of her lascivious, unhinged conduct,” read the statement.
However, the allegations from Pisciotta’s side in the lawsuit (amended after about a year) were quite grave and claimed that “Ye subjected Ms. Pisciotta to obscene comments about her body, demanded she wear tight fitting clothing, groped her on a regular basis, forced her to watch Ye perform sexual acts with other women, sent her sexually explicit pictures and demanded she do the same, and repeatedly demanded that she join his sexual encounters, which she refused,” according to a Page Six report.
The allegations also referred to Kanye allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting her at a studio session with Diddy, and on other occasions allegedly “orally raping” and attempting vaginal penetration with fingers. Some of these allegations were added as the lawsuit was amended over time. Now, with settlement, the matter has come to a close — albeit the nature of past allegations remains shocking and horrific.
