This weekend, after a long wait from fans, The Weeknd’s new show The Idol will finally premiere on HBO, starring himself, Lily-Rose Depp and more. It hasn’t been the smoothest promotional run, with Rolling Stone criticising the show heavily and the Rotten Tomatoes score tanking after some early reviews.
He’s pushing forward nonetheless and dropping new music to back the show. Following his ‘Double Fantasy‘ collaboration with Future, he’s back tonight with a new song that will appear on the upcoming soundtrack.
This time, he links up with Playboi Carti and Madonna for ‘Popular’. He previewed this song at the red carpet premiere of the show in Cannes and fans were very excited based off the low quality snippet. It’s a hell of a lineup on paper. Stream it below.
