After weeks of anticipation, Post Malone is here with his fifth album Austin.
Unlike his previous efforts, this one has had the most minimalistic promotion run and also has the least hip-hop production we have heard so far on a Post Malone album. The singles leading up to the album, ‘Chemical’ and ‘Mourning’ haven’t done much damage on the charts yet, although the buzz track ‘Overdrive‘ is a clear standout.
The album features 17 tracks in total and has a totally Pop sound. There are also no guest appearances on it. In a recent interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Posty said that Radiohead, Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Wonder are some of his influences for this project.
