Lil Durk Arrested on ‘Murder for Hire’ Charges

UPDATE: After the initial OTF arrests, Durk booked two flights from South Florida airports — one to Dubai and one to Switzerland but did not board them. He then booked a private flight to Italy, but was arrested in Miami as he was on his way to the airport.

Lil Durk has been arrested on ‘murder for hire’ charges.

Earlier on Thursday, reports came in that five people in Chicago were hit with federal charges in California alleging they were contracted to kill rapper Quando Rando in Los Angeles, due to his suspected involvement in the 2020 slaying of rival artist King Von.

Kavon London Grant; Deandre Dontrell Wilson; Keith Jones; David Brian Lindsey; and Asa Houston were those who were charged in the indictment, which was unsealed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles. The charges include conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, committing murder-for-hire involving a death, and use of a machine gun in a violent crime resulting in death. The most serious charge carries up to the death penalty if convicted.

The indictment alleged that after King Von’s slaying in 2020 in Atlanta, an unnamed co-conspirator who is part of Lil Durk’s OTF crew offered money and “lucrative music opportunities” to anyone who would kill Quando Rondo, a Georgia-based rapper whose real name is Tyquian Terrel Bowman.

Now it looks like Durk himself has been arrested as well as we can see clearly from the screenshot from the official website showing Boward County records, as well as the rapper’s mug shot.
