Erykah Badu and The Alchemist set the internet on fire when they announced that they were working on a joint album.
The duo is collaborating on a new album titled Abi & Alan, which will be Badu’s first album in 15 years. The first single from this project, ‘Next to You’ has already been released but today, they have another exciting piece of info to reveal to fans.
The two will debut their album for the fans during live performances on their upcoming US tour, before making it available on streaming platforms. “The “Abi & Alan Luv Is Tour” (August 8-24) will give audiences the exclusive opportunity to experience the entire album performed live by Badu and The Cannabinoids before its official release on August 29, 2025,” says the press release.
It is not often that artists choose to perform their entire album live first before releasing it officially in studio format.
