As if three albums (Iceman, Habibti & Maid Of Honor) weren’t enough, Drake has once again raised the stakes on release day. The boy has just dropped 11 new music videos via his artist channel on YouTube.
Across the three projects, Drake has taken a number of shots at people like Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Rick Ross, Pusha T, A$AP Rocky and more. He’s not shying away from the big three conversation post beef, and has in fact dismissed the big 3 entirely — much how Kendrick said it on his own verse in ‘Like That’ — “It’s just big me.”
In that context, it seems as though the 3 albums in a day plus the newly released 11 music videos is a solid statement. Without a shadow of doubt, Drake has proved that his output is pretty much unmatched — and he isn’t shying away from overwhelming the audience.
Another reason could be his straying away from the strategy of having just few songs. Why? Well, fewer the songs, more dedicated the listener, and therefore the increased cynicism and criticality. Volume, however, takes time to process. Whatever be the case, Drake really is back with a bang, and is far from being a thing of the past. Check out the videos below!
