Jeezy has exceeded expectations with his new album Trap or Die 3.
The album, released last week, was initially set to sell around 70k copies in the first week and running behind Country singer Kenny Chesney. But looks like his fans have helped him touch the finish line first as Trap or Die 3 debuts at number 1 on the Billboard 200 with just over 89k copies moved.
Out of that, 73k amount for traditional sales while rest are track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). While all eight of Jeezy’s albums have charted inside the top 10, this is the Trapper’s third number 1 LP.
Meek Mill’s new project DC4 debuts at No. 3 with 87,000 units (45,000 in traditional sales). This was the first in the Dreamchasers mixtape series which was marketed and sold like an album. Both of his first two albums — Dreams and Nightmares and Dreams Worth More Than Money debuted at #1 on Billboard 200.
