It is confirmed: Beyonce will be missing this year’s Coachella performance.
When the singer announced earlier this month that she was expecting twins with her husband Jay Z, many wondered about the status of her headlining set at the Coachella Valley Music And Arts Festival in April. But now in a statement to The Associated Press, Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment and festival producer Goldenvoice have announced that the singer had to pull out of the festival “following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months.”
The statement also says that Beyonce will instead headline the 2018 edition of the festival. It is not clear if there will be a replacement for her this year. Other headliners at the two-weekend festival in April in Indio, California are Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar.
