50 Cent Confronts Ebro Over New York Hip-Hop; Talks ’50 Central’, Jay-Z’s ‘4:44’ & More

50 Cent and Ebro haven’t been cool in months so a stop on the Hot 97 host’s morning show today was much anticipated.

It was worth it too. 50 discussed being hugely successful with his Starz show Power and compared it to having a big debut in music like Get Rich or Die Tryin. He also talked about how he tactfully managed to have Starz appreciate him more. Ebro, Rosenberg and Laura Stylez also asked 50 on his views on Jay-Z’s album 4:44. The G-Unit general maintained that it’s “too smart” for young fans’ taste but said that he’s currently playing it in his car.

After discussing his past relationships with Birdman, Lil Wayne and Fat Joe, 50 confronted Ebro on his past comment that the rapper killed New York Hip-Hop. They went back and forth over the argument but never in a heated manner. Fif talked about the concept of his upcoming BET show 50 Central, friendship with Floyd Mayweather, past experiences with Donald Trump, and more. Watch the full interview below.

50 Central premieres Wednesday, September 27 at 10.30 pm ET. Yesterday, 50 Cent appeared on The View and previewed a new song.
