Drake Reveals The Music That Inspired ‘Scorpion’ Sessions

Drake finally released his fifth album Scorpion last night but he has been working on it for a while now (see full production credits here). On Friday morning, he uploaded some screenshots of the music that he had been listening to during the making of the album, on his Instagram stories.

“Thank you to all the artists that inspired me on the studio drives,” Drake wrote in one of his first stories. In the post, he shared rapper Smiley 61st’s Buy.or.Buy EP. He went on to share loads of music of a variety of sounds like U.K. artists Octavian and Loski, classic albums from 2Pac and Biggie, Wizkid’s group Starboy’s hit ‘Soco‘, Flipp Dinero’s viral hit ‘Leave Me Alone‘ and many more.
