R. Kelly is a legend in music the recent allegations of sexual abuse against him have left a sour taste among fans.
Amid all the controversy, the singer has released a new song today called ‘Born To My Music’ which is aimed at everybody who might have been a product of parents procreating while listening to his classics. He seemed unfazed by the allegations as he declared on Twitter that he’s working on a new album. “Happy New Year to my Day One Fans! I’ve seen y’all comments asking about new music…I got you! Lifetime’s new documentary Surviving R. Kelly takes a look at some of the abuse allegations against the singer where several family members, former friends and colleagues have been interviewed. The documentary’s first episode, which airs Thursday, Jan. 3, includes an emotional interview with former backup singer Jovante Cunningham, who met R. Kelly at age 14.
She claims in the clip that she was a direct witness to the 52-year-old star, born Robert Sylvester’s sexual encounters with underaged girls in the ’90s, including his one-time protégée Aaliyah Haughton.
